2. Website Information

Information published on this website is provided for general guidance only. Hybrid battery symptoms, fault codes and vehicle behavior can have several possible causes.

Website information should not be treated as a vehicle-specific diagnosis or as a substitute for inspection and testing by a qualified technician.

We take reasonable care when preparing website content but do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current or free from error. We may update or remove website content without notice.

3. Enquiries, Bookings and Quotations

Information provided during an enquiry or booking must be accurate and complete. This may include the vehicle make, model, year, registration, vehicle identification number, odometer reading, reported symptoms, fault codes and previous repair or modification history.

A quotation is based on the information and vehicle condition reasonably available at the time it is prepared. A quotation may need to be revised where:

  • The information originally supplied was incomplete or incorrect
  • Additional faults are identified during inspection
  • The battery or vehicle condition differs from what was initially described
  • Further parts, testing or labor are reasonably required
  • A quoted component is no longer available

We will seek your approval before carrying out additional chargeable work that falls outside the authorized scope. Appointment and completion times are estimates. We will advise you where parts availability, additional testing, freight delays or unexpected vehicle conditions affect the expected timeframe.

4. Diagnostics and Assessment

Diagnostic findings are based on the condition of the vehicle and battery at the time of assessment. Intermittent faults, hidden damage, previous modifications and faults that are not active during testing may not always be identifiable during an initial assessment.

Depending on the findings, we may recommend continued monitoring, repair of a defined fault, refurbishment, battery replacement or responsible recycling.

Not every battery is suitable for repair or refurbishment. Suitability can only be confirmed after appropriate inspection and testing. A battery may be redirected to replacement or recycling where safe and dependable performance cannot reasonably be verified.

5. Products, Compatibility and Installation

Product Availability

Product availability is subject to stock and supplier availability.

Vehicle Information

Customers must provide accurate vehicle information so that the correct battery, ABS component or related product can be identified. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer or their representative.

Installation by Other Workshops

Where a battery or component is dispatched for installation by another workshop, it must be installed by a suitably qualified and competent technician in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable safety requirements.

Warranty Exclusions

Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorized modification, tampering, collision damage, liquid ingress, overheating, neglected cooling systems or unrelated vehicle faults may not be covered by an express warranty. This does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Prices and Payment

Unless stated otherwise, prices are expressed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

Payment must be made in accordance with the quotation or invoice. Unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing, payment may be required before a vehicle, battery or other product is released or dispatched.

We may correct genuine pricing, description or administrative errors before an order or quotation is accepted.

7. Freight and Delivery

Battery packs and other products may be delivered using third-party freight or courier providers.

Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by carrier schedules, regional access, weather, dangerous-goods requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers should inspect delivered items as soon as reasonably possible and notify us promptly if packaging or products appear damaged during transport. Photographs and supporting information may be requested so that the matter can be assessed with the carrier.

8. Exchange Batteries and Retired Batteries

Some battery products or services may be supplied on an exchange basis. Where this applies, the requirement to return or surrender the original battery and any applicable core charge will be explained before the customer authorizes the transaction.

Where a battery is accepted by us for exchange, component recovery, disposal or recycling, the customer authorizes us to assess, dismantle, recover suitable components from, refurbish, repurpose or recycle the battery as technically and environmentally appropriate.

Once a battery has been dismantled, processed or transferred to a recycling partner, it may not be possible to return it to the customer.

9. Warranty and Australian Consumer Law

Any express warranty supplied by Hybrid Automotive Service is additional to the rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

The applicable warranty depends on the product supplied, battery option selected, work completed and vehicle application. Warranty conditions will be provided through the relevant quotation, invoice or published warranty terms.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, warranty, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Responsible Battery Handling

Hybrid batteries contain stored electrical energy and must not be opened, dismantled, transported or disposed of by untrained persons.

Customers must inform us if a battery has been involved in a collision, exposed to fire or water, physically damaged, swollen, overheated or previously dismantled.

Batteries accepted for recycling are handled through our controlled assessment, isolation, holding and recycling process. Customers must not place hybrid batteries in household waste, general waste or landfill.
