BATTERY DIAGNOSTICS

Hybrid Battery Assessment & Pathways

Understand the condition of your hybrid battery and identify the most appropriate next step for your vehicle.

Battery faults do not always require the same solution. Hybrid Automotive Service assesses the vehicle, battery condition and available service options before identifying the most appropriate pathway.

Common Hybrid Battery Symptoms

Hybrid battery concerns may appear as warning lights, reduced fuel economy, inconsistent charging, poor vehicle performance or changes in normal hybrid system operation. These symptoms do not always confirm battery failure, so further assessment is required before deciding on the appropriate repair pathway.

What the Assessment Considers

The assessment considers the vehicle details, reported symptoms, relevant fault codes, battery chemistry, physical condition, operating performance and available service history. These findings help determine whether the battery should remain in service, be repaired, refurbished, replaced or prepared for responsible recycling.

Your Possible Battery Pathways

Depending on the findings, one of the following will be recommended. Recycling is only introduced when continued service is not suitable.

1
Continue driving and monitor The battery is healthy enough to keep using with periodic checks.
2
Repair a defined fault A specific, isolated issue is identified and corrected while the wider battery remains suitable for continued operation.
3
Refurbish the existing battery The pack is tested, balanced and rebuilt with healthy cells.
4
Replace the battery unit A new or quality aftermarket pack is fitted.
5
Prepare for responsible recycling Packs beyond service are held securely and recycled responsibly.
