When a battery removed through our service process can no longer remain safely and reliably in operation, it is managed through an appropriate internal recovery and recycling pathway.
Our approach is to preserve useful battery life wherever technically appropriate, recover remaining value where possible and recycle responsibly when the battery reaches the end of service.
Hybrid batteries contain metals, casings, electrical components and battery-specific materials that should not enter ordinary waste streams. Depending on the battery chemistry, construction and condition, specialist processing may recover materials for further productive use.
The final recovery outcome depends on the battery type, its physical condition and the capability of the receiving facility.
