The Toyota Alphard 3rd Generation is the current benchmark for imported luxury people movers in Australia, combining a large, quiet cabin with hybrid fuel economy that a petrol van of the same size cannot match. The hybrid battery carries a heavy share of that workload, driving the electric motor from a standstill and recovering energy under braking. At Hybrid Automotive Service, we provide Toyota Alphard hybrid battery replacement with testing, professional installation and options to suit different budgets.
Alphard 3rd Generation Hybrid Battery Replacement
The AYH30W pack runs at 244.8V and is built from 34 uniform 7.2V modules. As modules age, the first symptoms are usually rising fuel consumption and the petrol engine cycling on more often, followed by reduced electric assistance and, eventually, a Check Hybrid System warning. Our technicians inspect the vehicle, confirm the battery condition and recommend the most suitable replacement option so the correct pack is fitted and the hybrid system is verified after installation.
Battery Options Available
We offer a range of replacement options depending on your vehicle condition, budget and availability.
- New aftermarket batteries are the popular choice for owners wanting reliable performance with a full 2 year / 100,000 km warranty.
- Refurbished batteries suit owners looking for a more affordable solution, with every module load tested and balanced before assembly.
- OEM Toyota battery options may also be available depending on supply and customer preference. Pricing and availability can vary, so it is best to confirm before booking.
Expected Battery Life
The life of an Alphard 3rd Generation hybrid battery varies with age, mileage, driving conditions, climate and maintenance history. Many of these vehicles arrive in Australia as imports with high original mileage, so the pack may already be well into its service life on arrival. A health check on import is the cheapest way to find out where the battery actually sits.
Replacement Cost Guide
Toyota Alphard 3rd Generation hybrid battery replacement cost depends on the battery type selected, warranty coverage and installation requirements. We aim to provide clear pricing and suitable options before work begins. As a general guide, refurbished battery options are more affordable than new aftermarket replacement. Final pricing can vary based on the selected battery, vehicle condition and current stock availability.
Warranty and Installation Support
Our Toyota Alphard battery replacement service includes specialist installation and warranty-backed support. The listed option includes a
2 year / 100,000 km warranty for New Aftermarket batteries and
6 months warranty for Refurbished batteries. After installation, the vehicle is tested to confirm the hybrid system is operating correctly. We provide installation support across Sydney and NSW, and freight packs to workshops in other states.
